Impartiality statement

At CERCOMS, we highly value impartiality and objectivity. We conduct all audits and services without conflicts of interest. Our auditors are trained to work independently and adhere to the highest ethical standards. We ensure this impartiality through regular internal reviews and a firm commitment to integrity across all our processes.

  • CERCOMS has the following publicly accessible statement on its web sites that it understands the importance of impartiality in carrying out its various certification activities, and can demonstrate it manages any conflicts of interest and ensures objectivity of its different certification activities
  • Impartiality is the governing principle of how CERCOMS provides its services. Impartiality means acting fairly and equitably in its dealings with people and in all business operations. It means decisions are made free from any engagements of influences which could affect the objectivity of decision making.

Limitation of services

  • CERCOMS shall not certify another certification body for its quality management system.
  • CERCOMS shall not offer or provide management system consultancy.
  • CERCOMS shall not offer or provide internal audits to its certified customers.
    CERCOMS shall not certify the management system for a minimum of two years following the end of the consultancy provided by a body that has a relationship with CERCOMS. This is based on ownership, governance, management, personnel, shared resources, finances, training, etc.
  • CERCOMS shall not outsource audits to a management system consultancy organization. This does not apply to individuals contracted as auditors.
  • Personnel who have provided management system consultancy to the to be audited organization shall not be used as an auditor for a minimum of two years following the end of the consultancy.
